Wecome to Deezle.com. As you may have observed so far, my name is Paul McMahon and I'm the blogmaster of this site. The term blogmaster means that I created, installed, maintain, and introduce new material to this site. I take that responsibility seriously, in that I'll try to make this site interesting and humorous. And more to the point, I'll try to be positive.
Why do I emphasize being positive? When I first started thinking about hosting a blog, I considered different ideas for the overall theme. I looked at existing blogs, radio programs, newspaper editorials, and the like. I considered all the things I've studied or interest me. Then, I weighed in my own personality. It didn't take long for me to realize that what I'd like to write about, what gives me joy, what I hoped I could add, and what I knew a little about, were all the same things. I enjoy life.
I don't think I'm unique in this regard. I think a lot of people are happy. They have their priorities straight. They're kind. They're friendly. They make a difference.
Unfortunately, there are still lots of people who haven't found happiness. Worse still, they're very vocal about it. People have literally made millions of dollars pointing out what's wrong with this country. Think about that. They don't have a solution, they don't have a plan, most have never bothered to try to do something about it, but they stand on a soapbox and criticize all that they see and they're paid millions of dollars to do it. Who pays them? We do.
I wouldn't mind all the negative rants and cynicism as much if there were some counterbalance. If every cynic in the media had a doppelganger who looked on the bright side, it'd be one thing, but that's simply not the case. It's not even close.
For this reason, I've decided to dedicate this blog to the positive. I'll write about what I enjoy. I'll share memories of some of the great experiences I've had and the wonderful people I've encountered. I hope you enjoy it and I hope you'll share some of your experiences, too.
